Description

Welcome to the Plougasnou motorhome area, a seaside spot set in a calm natural setting, ideal for recharging between pebble beaches and seabirds. Open as a campsite (full reception) from April to October — with accessible sanitary blocks — it becomes a motorhome area from mid-October to early April, with the waste disposal point and water refill point always available. You will find electrical hookups, parking, waste disposal and water refill; tents, caravans and motorhomes are accepted on the pitches. About a 3-minute walk away is Primel pebble beach, the village of Plougasnou is about ~3 km, and beachfront cafés and restaurants are a 5-minute walk. The site is on the GR34 and near the Vélomaritime, with country paths lined with chapels, manor houses and fountains, and easy access to fishing and pleasure harbours — perfect for hikers and cyclists.

Tourisme

Plougasnou (Finistère, France)

Plougasnou is a Breton coastal commune located on the Baie de Morlaix. It combines a rugged coastline, characterful villages and an still noticeable maritime activity. The main town remains lively, while the hamlet of Primel‑Trégastel draws visitors for its coves and seaside atmosphere. It is a convenient starting point for exploring the northern coast of Finistère.

Heritage and history

The area preserves traces of a rural and maritime past. Local buildings mix stone houses and more recent constructions around the port. There are also chapels and wayside crosses typical of the region, marking the country paths. Local history is linked to the sea, fishing and exchanges within the bay.

Nature and landscapes

The coast offers varied panoramas: sandy beaches, sheltered inlets and low cliffs. The Baie de Morlaix offers wide views over the horizon and passages rich in seabirds. The coastline clearly reveals the tides and the shifting ecosystems between rocks and sandy areas.

Outdoor activities

The coastal path GR34 skirts the commune and allows for pleasant walks on foot. Shore fishing, seaside strolls and cycling on quiet roads are common activities. Sea trips departing from the local port offer a different perspective on the landscape and horizons.

Gastronomy

The cuisine emphasizes seafood: shellfish, fish and crustaceans are often on the menus of restaurants and crêperies. Local markets offer fresh products and the opportunity to taste Breton specialties in a simple, convivial setting.
