Description

Welcome to the Beaulon motorhome area, peacefully located along the canal about 25 minutes east of Moulins, in a very wooded setting where the presence of the Allier and Loire rivers is felt. You will find electrical hookups, water supply, a drainage area, parking, as well as tables and benches and recycling bins — a real meeting place for anglers, motorhome users and boaters near the small marina. Additional parking is available 50 m away, and shops (grocery, bakery, butcher-caterer, tobacconist/newsagent, hairdresser, pharmacy, florist, agricultural cooperative, appliance store) are located about 1 km away. Enjoy walks along the canal, nearby boating and spa activities, and don't miss the local market on the fourth Thursday morning of the month.

Tourisme

Beaulon (Allier, France)

Beaulon is a rural commune in the Allier, rooted in the agricultural landscape of the Bourbonnais. A discreet village, it offers a peaceful atmosphere between fields and hedged bocage. There is a local life centered on livestock and crops, with some shops and nearby services. Its location allows easy access to neighboring towns for cultural or administrative facilities.

Heritage and history

The built fabric of Beaulon remains that of a Bourbonnais village: stone houses and some traditional farms testify to a rural past. The parish church, at the center of the village, often serves as the main landmark. Elements of local history can be read in the agricultural plots and place names, revealing old pastoral and farming practices.

Nature and landscapes

The territory mixes bocage and open plots, offering wide views over the countryside. Hedges, meadows and groves attract small local wildlife and make walks pleasant. It is a setting conducive to nature observation, peaceful strolls and disconnecting.

Outdoor activities

The village is suited to walks or bike rides on lightly trafficked rural roads. Local trails encourage walking and mountain biking, while surrounding circuits connect to other communes in the department for gourmet or heritage stops.

Culture and access to the surroundings

To complement a visit, Beaulon serves as a quiet base before joining nearby cultural centers, notably the town of Moulins and its facilities. Markets and small rural events punctuate local life according to the seasons.
