Description

Welcome to the Névez motorhome area, located about 500 m from the town center and shops — an ideal starting point for exploring the southern coast of Finistère. The area offers waste disposal, drinking water replenishment, electrical hookup and parking, all in a friendly atmosphere. A few steps away, the Saturday morning market takes over the church square with fresh produce and crafts, and in summer find the Thursday afternoon/evening market (honey, crêpes, organic vegetables, rotisseries, cheesemongers, wines, jewelry…). Don’t miss the local specialties: Kig Ha Farz, Plougastel strawberries, fresh langoustines and Roscoff onions. For short stays (24 h), consider the recommended spots: Parking Saint Nicolas in Port-Manec’h (near the port), Rospico beach parking (coast), Raguenez Port (daytime only), the municipal stadium parking in the village, Joseph Danielou square parking in the village (central), Kerascoët Village parking (near the village) and Tahiti beach parking (accessible only to vehicles less than 1.95 m wide). Note that Raguenez Port and Dourveil beach are subject to daytime hours.

Tourisme

Névez (Finistère, France)

Névez is a coastal commune in southern Finistère, known for its pink granite landscapes and fine sandy beaches. The coastline alternates sheltered bays, rocky points and dunes, offering varied views of the Atlantic. The village retains traditional hamlets and a quiet Breton atmosphere, popular with hikers and families. The proximity of the coastal path makes it possible to explore the coast without a car.

Heritage and hamlets

The hamlet of Kerascoët is a striking example of Breton rural architecture, with its well-preserved thatched cottages and flowery lanes. You can feel the authenticity of the southern Finistère bocage there. Other small villages retain stone farms and enclosed gardens, witnesses of a traditional way of life.

Nature and landscapes

The coast of Névez features pink granite formations, modest cliffs and sandy coves. The dunes and grassy stretches frame the sea views, especially at sunset. The GR34 path runs past many viewpoints and eases access to the coast for walks.

Beaches and outdoor activities

Long beaches such as the Grands Sables are suitable for swimming and families. The coves and sandbanks also attract boaters and shore-fishing enthusiasts. Kayaking, paddleboarding and boat trips allow exploration of the coast and its nearby small islands.

Gastronomy and atmosphere

Local cuisine highlights fresh fish and seafood, crêperies and Breton local products. The atmosphere remains calm and friendly, far from busy tourist resorts, ideal for a restorative stay.
