Description

Perched at 780 m on the shore of Lake Laouzas in a mid-mountain setting and 5 km from the village, this motorhome area offers about 20 natural, welcoming pitches with electrical hookups and parking. Access is secured by a lifting barrier; the area has two separate service points for emptying (grey and black water) and a potable water supply. On site: voluntary recycling drop-off point, pets accepted with the “Toutounet” system, and immediate proximity to a leisure centre certified Pavillon Bleu offering sauna, spa, massages, water activities, aquapark, supervised swimming, rentals (rowboat, paddleboard, canoe, sailboat) as well as a skatepark and bikepark. At the centre, free sports facilities (fitness equipment, tennis, volleyball, pétanque, playground) and electric-assist bike rentals; a rural life museum a stone’s throw away. Everyday services (service station, convenience store, pharmacy, tobacco shop) in Murat-sur-Vèbre, about 11 km away.

Tourisme

Nages (Tarn, France)

Nages is a small rural village in the Tarn department, in the Occitanie region. The hamlet offers a calm atmosphere, typical of southwestern communes, focused on agriculture and rural life. Stone houses, sunken lanes and open landscapes invite slow walking and discovery on foot. It is an address for those seeking a discreet starting point to the hills and small roads of the Tarn.

Heritage and history

The heart of the village retains traces of an ancient settlement: traditional houses and the small parish church typical of Tarn countryside. One often finds architectural elements in local stone and carved lintels. Local archives and oral memory recount traditional rural life tied to crops and livestock. Neighboring communes complement the heritage offer with castles and classified villages accessible by car.

Nature and landscapes

The surroundings of Nages are marked by bocage landscapes, meadows and small woods. Walks allow observation of the Tarn countryside and its seasonal variations: orchards in spring, warm colors in autumn. Hiking routes and communal paths offer easy walks, suitable for families. The peaceful landscape favors birdwatching and an atmosphere conducive to relaxation.

Gastronomy and local products

The local table relies on Tarn products: cured meats, local cheeses, fruits and legumes. Nearby are renowned appellations like Gaillac, where you can taste regional wines. Small markets and local producers are an opportunity to try peasant specialties and bring back artisanal products.
