Description

Perched at 780 m on the shore of Lake Laouzas in a mid-mountain setting and 5 km from the village, this motorhome area offers about 20 natural, welcoming pitches with electrical hookups and parking. Access is secured by a lifting barrier; the area has two separate service points for emptying (grey and black water) and a potable water supply. On site: voluntary recycling drop-off point, pets accepted with the “Toutounet” system, and immediate proximity to a leisure centre certified Pavillon Bleu offering sauna, spa, massages, water activities, aquapark, supervised swimming, rentals (rowboat, paddleboard, canoe, sailboat) as well as a skatepark and bikepark. At the centre, free sports facilities (fitness equipment, tennis, volleyball, pétanque, playground) and electric-assist bike rentals; a rural life museum a stone’s throw away. Everyday services (service station, convenience store, pharmacy, tobacco shop) in Murat-sur-Vèbre, about 11 km away.

Tourisme

Nages (Tarn, France)

Nages is a small rural village in the Tarn, rooted in the Occitan landscape. The village center retains a quiet atmosphere, composed of stone houses and calm lanes. Local life revolves around agriculture and small family farms. The setting offers open views over hillsides and valleys typical of the Occitan southwest.

Heritage and history

The village features modest but authentic heritage, with a communal church and traditional rural buildings. One often sees elements of Tarn rural architecture: tiled roofs, stone walls and small farm outbuildings. Local history can be read in the layout of tracks and plots, a legacy of long-standing peasant settlement.

Nature and landscapes

The surroundings of Nages offer landscapes of hills, hedged farmland and meadows, suitable for hiking and countryside observation. On clear days, the ridgelines of the Monts de Lacaune appear on the horizon. The region promotes a calm atmosphere, away from major roads, ideal for relaxation in nature.

Outdoor activities and leisure

Hiking, cycling on secondary roads and birdwatching are common activities. Farm tracks allow discovery of diverse crops and hedgerows, while some farms welcome visitors for direct purchases of local products.

Not to be missed

  • Village church — exterior visit and the atmosphere of the bell tower at the heart of the village.
  • Village square — a local meeting point, often lively during small events.
  • Monts de Lacaune — panoramas and hiking trails accessible from the area.
  • Markets and local producers — honey, charcuterie and cheeses offered by producers.
  • Albi — the episcopal city listed as a heritage site, reachable for a cultural excursion.
