Description

Welcoming river stop on the Marne at Saint-Jean-les-Deux-Jumeaux, ideal for a walking break or a nature stopover, with electrical hookup and water supply for your boat. On site, you can rent electric bikes and pedal boats to explore the banks, and reach the restaurant Le Beau Rivage, a charming country house for dining, in a few minutes. The village, crossed by trails GR11 and GR14A, is the starting point of the labeled route "Vélo et Fromages" and close to the 50 km itinerary "De la meulière à la Brie". Nearby are the Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste (13th century) and the surprising chapel of the former seminary; local activities include horse-riding introductions, the Parrot World animal park, the audio-guided visit of the Jouarre crypts and the Bois de la Barre with its millstone remains. The stop remains very convenient: town center and restaurants at ~100 m, SNCF station at ~2.5 km.
