Description

Welcome to the Plestin‑les‑Grèves motorhome area, often claimed to be the largest in Côtes‑d'Armor: spacious, shaded pitches a few minutes' walk from the beach, with waste disposal, water refill, electrical hookup and parking. The sanitary block is accessible year‑round and you will find numerous shops and restaurants nearby to stock up on local products. The immediate environment of dunes and moorland invites walking and contemplation, with easy access to coastal paths for hikes and outdoor activities. The region offers a rich local production — seafood, dairy products, ciders, organic breads, meats, fish, cheeses and crêpes — as well as a Sunday morning market in the town centre and a lively summer night market on Tuesdays (theatre, music, performances). Don't miss the sand yachting, the chapel circuit, the Vent de Grève festival and, in summer, the Saint‑Efflam horse races.

Tourisme

Plestin-les-Grèves (Côtes-d'Armor, France)

Plestin-les-Grèves is a coastal commune in northern Brittany, located on the English Channel in the Côtes-d'Armor department. The village stretches between beaches, tidal flats and bocage, offering a strong contrast between open coastline and hedged countryside. The territory is crossed by the famous coastal path GR34, much appreciated by hikers. There is a local life rooted in Breton traditions, with a marked focus on nature and maritime activities.

Heritage and village

The town center features traditional granite houses and local shops that punctuate daily life. Religious and rural heritage is visible in several chapels and calvaries scattered around the village. Local information panels place these elements in the history of Trégor, the cultural region to which Plestin belongs.

Nature and landscapes

The grèves (tidal flats) reveal wide sandy beaches and mudflat areas at low tide, favorable for birdwatching and walks. The coast offers broad views over the English Channel and rapid changes according to the tides. Inland, the bocage and sunken lanes invite short hikes and observation of the local flora.

Outdoor activities and leisure

The GR34 defines the coastal hiking offer, accessible from several launch points and car parks. Shore fishing, beach walks and birdwatching are easy-to-practice activities. Seasonal services (equipment rental, schools) are available nearby in the commune or neighboring villages.

Not to miss

  • GR34: coastal path offering panoramas over the English Channel.
  • Les grèves (beaches and tidal flats): visible and rich tides at low tide.
  • Wetlands and birds: observation points for coastal wildlife.
  • Plestin village: granite houses and local shops.
  • Breton specialties: seafood, crêpes and cider available from local vendors.
