Description

Welcome to the Erdeven motorhome area, ideally located between the Quiberon peninsula and the Ria d'Étel, with direct views of Quiberon and Belle-Île-en-Mer. Set in a preserved coastal environment, it offers emptying facilities, water refilling, electrical hookups and parking for a peaceful stay. At ~100 m you will find a small convenience store, several local restaurants and a lively bar; the weekly market on Rue des Menhirs is held on Saturday mornings and, in season, charming night markets enliven the evenings. Enjoy hiking trails and cycle paths with coastal panoramas, fine sandy beaches with watersports areas and the nearby nature reserve classified as a Grand Site de France — not to mention seafood, crêpes and craft cider to taste nearby.

Tourisme

Erdeven (Morbihan, France)

Erdeven is a Breton commune stretching along a fine-sand coast, with dunes and wild beaches. A small-scale resort, it favors open-air experiences rather than mass tourism. Coastal walks and water activities punctuate the days, while traces of the megalithic past recall ancient occupation of the shoreline. The proximity of Carnac and the Quiberon peninsula makes half-day excursions easy.

Heritage and history

The territory of Erdeven preserves scattered prehistoric and rural witnesses, notably groups of menhirs and funerary remains around places like Kerzerho. The parish church and a few rural chapels reflect local history; one senses the evolution of a village oriented toward the sea and agriculture.

Nature and landscapes

Long sandy beaches — dunes and dune ridges — dominate the landscape. Plage de Kerhillio is emblematic, with its dune ridge and waves suited to surfing. The marshes and heathland behind the coast offer calmer atmospheres and birdwatching hides for migratory birds in season.

Outdoor activities

The seaside favors surfing, kitesurfing and sailing, while the GR34 follows the coast for lovely hikes on foot or by bike. Nearby coves and headlands invite kayaking trips and shellfish gathering at low tide.

Cuisine and local life

The cuisine naturally highlights seafood: oysters, shellfish and freshly cooked fish. Local markets and some good restaurants offer regional products and Breton crêpes.

Not to miss

  • Plage de Kerhillio — large sandy beach and surf spot.
  • Plage du Kérou — a more intimate area, dunes and swimming.
  • Alignements de Kerzerho — megalithic groups and standing stones.
  • GR34 (coastal path) — hikes and ocean panoramas.
  • Local market — seafood and Breton specialties.
