Description

Opposite Camping Seasonova Les Plages de Loire, on the Route de Savennières to Rochefort-sur-Loire, this motorhome area opens onto the banks of the Loire with a fine view of the Louet and the nearby outdoor swimming pool. The service point for emptying grey and black water is clearly signposted, complemented by a separate drainage area, access to drinking water and picnic tables on site. Public toilets are a few steps away, and the local kayak club enlivens the area's community and sporting life. The village, with its local shops (grocery, bakery...), hosts a market on Wednesday mornings where you can find rillettes and crémé d'Anjou — perfect for tasting regional products before setting off for walks through the vineyards and along the Loire paths.

Tourisme

Rochefort-sur-Loire (Maine-et-Loire, France)

Rochefort-sur-Loire is a riverside village located in Anjou, at the meeting point of the Loire and Layon landscapes. A transitional place between plains and hillsides, it offers a mix of vineyards, limestone terraces and an old village center. The atmosphere remains rural and authentic, with wide views over the river valley. It is a favored stop for walkers and Loire wine enthusiasts.

Nature and landscapes

The hills around Rochefort-sur-Loire overlook small cultivated valleys and face the Loire. The banks of the Layon form peaceful walks appreciated for birdwatching and sunsets. South-facing slopes host vineyard plots that structure the landscape and offer open viewpoints.

Gastronomy and wines

The commune lies within the influence area of Anjou appellations. You can find winemakers working local expressions, notably sweet wines and dry whites typical of the Loire hills. Small rural eateries showcase local products: cheese, rillettes and traditional Anjou dishes.

Heritage and village

The village preserves the silhouette of a Loire settlement: narrow lanes, tuffeau stone houses and old farms on the slopes. Local history is visible in the layout of vineyard plots and riverside developments. Several waymarked trails allow visitors to explore this cultural landscape on foot.
