Description

Welcome to the Plonévez-Porzay motorhome area, ideally located about ~300 m from the village shops and perfect as a base camp for exploring Cornouaille. You will find water supply, electrical hookup, emptying with a platform for wastewater and a receptacle for toilet cassettes, as well as parking spaces. Enjoy the long beaches of Kervel and Sainte-Anne-la-Palud (protected dunes, lifeguards in season), the hiking starts on the GR®34, the land yachting club, and the chapel of Sainte-Anne-la-Palud with its pilgrimage. Don’t miss the Jean-Marie Le Bris stele in Tréfeuntec, the Jain biscuit factory for tastings, Mont Ménez-Hom and the Sunday market from April to October — the welcoming gateway to explore the Porzay and the bay of Douarnenez.

Tourisme

Plonévez-Porzay (Finistère, France)

Plonévez-Porzay is a rural commune in Finistère, located in Cornouaille, combining Breton bocage and proximity to the sea. The place offers a tranquil atmosphere, among small farms, hedgerows, and scattered hamlets. It is a good starting point for those wishing to discover the Finistère countryside while quickly reaching coastal landscapes. The welcome remains simple and authentic, conducive to restorative stays.

Heritage and history

The local heritage is discreet but tangible: there are traditional stone houses, calvaries and a parish church punctuating the landscape. Traces of agricultural activity and old rural roads are visible in the relief and the organization of the hamlets. Information panels and some paths allow learning more about local history without major tourist development.

Nature and landscapes

The territory is marked by bocage, with fields enclosed by banks and hedges, offering pleasant walks year-round. A short drive away, the coast and the baie de Douarnenez offer marine panoramas contrasting with the hinterland. The local birdlife and open landscapes are well suited to hikes and peaceful nature observation.

Outdoor activities and leisure

The network of small roads favors cycling and walks between villages. Countryside routes are suitable for walking and mountain biking, while proximity to the coast allows alternating bocage hikes and days on the shore. Local organizations sometimes offer seasonal events and markets where you can meet producers.
