Description

In Broons (Côtes-d'Armor), halfway between Rennes and Saint-Brieuc (access RN12) and a short distance from Dinan, Lamballe and nearby seaside resorts, this small motorhome area adjoins the "La Planchette" campsite, the sports complex and the outdoor swimming pool. Seven welcoming pitches offer water supply, electrical hookup and parking, as well as a service area for emptying and filling; access to the campsite's sanitary block is available for an extra fee. About 1 km from shops and the town centre, the site opens onto a rural setting with small streams and the Planchette pond, ideal for relaxation and family fishing (roach, gudgeon, a few small carp). Broons is certified as a "Village Étape" and commits, via the corresponding charter, to guaranteeing services and a level of welcome consistent with a tourist route respectful of landscape values.

Tourisme

Broons (Côtes-d'Armor, France)

Broons is a small Breton commune in the center of Côtes-d'Armor, with a distinctly rural character. A former market town, it retains a compact historic center surrounded by bocage countryside. Its urban fabric mixes old houses and local amenities, making it a convenient stop between the coast and the department's interior. There is an active local life driven by agriculture and small artisan businesses.

Heritage and history

Broons' historic center shows traces of its medieval past and traditional Breton urban layouts. You can often find half-timbered houses and stone buildings, as well as an imposing parish church that occupies a central place. Remains of defensive works and plots inherited from the old street pattern tell the town's evolution from the Middle Ages to today.

Nature and landscapes

Around Broons, the landscape is dominated by the Breton bocage: hedges, small fields and sunken lanes. These areas offer easy walks and family-friendly hiking routes. The surrounding countryside invites discovery by bike or on foot, with viewpoints over the agricultural landscape and green corridors appreciated by birds.

Atmosphere and gastronomy

Local life follows the rhythm of markets and nearby shops. The local cuisine emphasizes regional products: cheeses, cured meats and artisanal breads found at regional stalls. The welcome remains simple and authentic, ideal for friendly and tasty stops.
