Tourisme
Crozon (Finistère, France)
Crozon, a village and municipality at the heart of the Crozon peninsula, offers a mix of wild coasts and a friendly town center. The port and the beach of Morgat are anchor points for visitors, with cliffs plunging into the Atlantic. The area is part of the Parc naturel régional d’Armorique, which ensures preserved landscapes and well-marked trails. People come here for hiking, water sports and views of the Breton headlands.
Heritage and history
The town retains a typical parish church and traces of an intense maritime past. The forts and batteries visible on the peninsula testify to the strategic stakes of the roadstead. Local museums and trail panels accompany the history of fishermen and port activities.
Nature and landscapes
Shale and granite cliffs offer views over the Iroise Sea and the bay of Douarnenez. Heathlands, coves and beaches alternate with rocky points. The Cap de la Chèvre and the Pointe de Pen-Hir (on the peninsula) are among the viewpoints accessible from Crozon.
Outdoor activities
The coastal path GR 34 runs through the commune and allows long hikes. Sea kayaking, diving and sailing are offered from Morgat. Birdwatching and landscape photography are easy thanks to numerous viewpoints.
Gastronomy and atmosphere
Here you find classic Breton cuisine: seafood, crêperies and local specialties. The atmosphere is relaxed off-season, livelier in summer with markets and coastal events.
