Description

Area for boaters located in Damvix (Text Town Hall of Damvix), a small village in the south of Vendée, set on the banks of the Sèvre Niortaise in the heart of the Marais poitevin, the “Venise Verte”. A fixed wooden jetty (non-floating structure) 30 m long and 2 m wide runs along the bank; you will find a combined electricity + drinking water pedestal there and a fixed pump dedicated to wastewater emptying (networks located at the jetty). A short distance away, the banks offer architectural heritage typical of the Marais poitevin, and Damvix is about twenty kilometers from Fontenay‑le‑Comte, Niort and La Rochelle.

Tourisme

Damvix (Vendée, France)

Damvix is a small commune located in the heart of the Marais Poitevin, known for its network of canals and its peaceful atmosphere. The village is organized around a river port and waterways that invite slow navigation. There are services for pleasure boating, boat rentals and well-marked cycling routes. It is a favored stop for nature and tranquility lovers.

Nature and landscapes
