Description

Perched at 1,280 m above sea level on the banks of the Drac, below the village of Orcières, our area welcomes motorhome owners on 24 pitches with electrical hookups, water supply, parking and wastewater emptying (dump station located outside and accessible to passing vehicles). Stays possible up to 30 days, and in winter the starting point of the cross-country ski trails of Ht Champsaur is only 100 m away. Nearby, Orcières Loisirs invites you into over 20 hectares of woodland for family and sports activities — treetop adventure course, paintball/laser tag, trampolines, pump track, multi-sports courts, beach volleyball and pétanque — as well as water activities (pedal boats, paddle, water games, supervised swimming) and mountain thrills (paragliding, via ferrata, canyoning, rafting). On site: restaurant, picnic area, barbecues, winter activities other than alpine skiing (tubing, dog sledding, snowshoeing, ice skating, bowling) and dog-sitting service.

Orcières is best known for its mountain resort Orcières-Merlette 1850, located in the heart of the Écrins massif. A mid-mountain village, it offers direct access to alpine landscapes, forests and mountain pastures. The resort combines winter activities and summer mountain pursuits, making it a practical base for exploring the Champsaur valley. It has a family-oriented atmosphere focused on nature and mountain sports.

Nature and landscapes

The site overlooks the valley and offers panoramas of the surrounding ridges and the peaks of the Parc national des Écrins. Mountain pastures, larch forests and rocky horizons follow one another quickly, offering varied hiking routes. In summer, the alpine flora is rich and views of the village bell tower and the Alpine chain are clear in good weather.
