Erdeven (Morbihan, France)
Erdeven is a coastal commune in the south of Morbihan, famous for its long fine sandy beaches and dune landscapes. The coastline offers a marked contrast between open shore and sheltered coves, popular with families and nature lovers. The village retains a quiet Breton atmosphere, a short distance from the famous Carnac alignments. There is a year-round offer of outdoor activities, strengthened by the proximity of the Ria d'Étel.
Nature and landscapes
The Kerhillio and Men-Dû beaches stretch for several kilometers, bordered by dunes and pinewoods. The seafront is crossed by the coastal path GR34, ideal for walks or cycling and for observing tidal variations. The light and vast flat spaces attract photographers and sunset enthusiasts.
Outdoor activities
Erdeven offers favorable conditions for land yachting, windsurfing and kitesurfing depending on the area and weather. The beaches with wide sandbanks are suitable for families and sailing schools. Cycle paths and rural trails also allow exploration of the hinterland, between bocage and menhirs visible in the surroundings.
Heritage and proximity
The village features sober Breton rural architecture and typical parish buildings. A few kilometers away, the Carnac alignments and the Ria d'Étel complete the regional discovery, offering a contrast between megaliths and the maritime estuary.
