The area, accessible 24h/24 via a machine, offers parking (maximum duration 72 hours), a disposal and water refill point on site — note that there is no access to electricity. Enjoy the local markets: Quintaou on Thursday and Sunday mornings, the Halles des 5 Cantons open from Tuesday to Sunday with a market on Friday afternoons, and depending on the season Le Potager des Bernardines. A convenient and friendly starting point to discover Anglet and its surroundings.

Tourisme

Anglet (Pyrénées-Atlantiques, France)

Anglet borders the Atlantic Ocean between Bayonne and Biarritz, at the heart of the Basque coast. The town offers nearly 11 km of beaches, dunes and promenades that attract surfers and walkers. There is an alternation of wide shores and renowned surf spots, maritime pines and some protected natural areas. Its location makes excursions to nearby towns and the Basque hinterland easy.

Nature and landscapes

Anglet's beaches follow one another along a sandy coastline, edged with dunes and pine groves. The coastline is animated by arranged walkways and viewpoints opening onto the ocean. At the mouth of the Adour, the Parc écologique Izadia offers wetlands and birdwatching points, revealing the area's natural diversity.

Outdoor activities and leisure

Anglet is a popular destination for surfing: breaks like La Barre and Les Cavaliers attract practitioners of all levels. Golf also dominates the sporting landscape, notably the Golf de Chiberta, known for its seaside course and pines. Cycle paths and coastal trails make bike rides or walks easy.

Atmosphere and lifestyle

The town retains a residential atmosphere, punctuated by cafés, small shops and a southern lifestyle influenced by the Basque Country. Walking at sunset along the coast remains a local ritual. The proximity of Bayonne and Biarritz enriches the cultural and gastronomic offerings accessible within minutes.
